International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

It is divided into three sectors:

• ITU Radiocommunication Sector
• ITU Standardization Sector
• ITU Development Sector

History

It was formed by merging several organizations, including the original ITU, the International Telegrah Union, founded in 1865, to form the International Telecommunication Union in 1934.
